Benedict is a young dragon who was around magic and mages all his life. However, he bonded to none of them, since none of them was a primary force in his life. The only thing he could ever feel was the flow of magic through him.
Therefore, shortly after becoming a full bishen, he left them and found a place to live on his own. He is an incorrigeable thief of rare manuscripts and spellbooks, but he always always gives them back. Usually before the owner even realizes their item is missing. He copies down the spells he's never seen or the ones he may be needing sometime in the future, and he returns the items.
His magic is different from that of most Machesri bishen. He does not use a magical object, nor does he have a defined element. Instead, he can cast from any discipline, but to do so, he must practice relentlessly on his focus and control, and he must do so from memory with the use of incantations or reading off his written scrolls.
He lives alone in a largely human-populated continent. There are few dragons or other such creatures here, and as such, Bene sometimes has a difficult time convincing people that he is not a homunculus of some form or another, merely speaking for a master.
He enjoys reading and is quite adept at writing. He is also very adaptable, rents his own little one-room house, and spends most of his days honing his skills in the forest.
