Appendix Q is the final section of the book, Cöd, which details the thirty-five major spells at Annabel's magical fingertips. It has been removed from every one of the books, however, and likely destroyed. Beyond the Second Gate, few snatches of the Appendix Q have been found and restored, but beyond this, there is little hope that anything else will be found.
There are seven different classes of spells the descendants of the Good Mistress are able to know. They are Angelic, Demonic, Mortal, Immortal, Temporal, Celestial, and Heavenly. By use of their Marks, they may access and unleash these spells in varying levels of effectiveness. Beyond the Good Mistress, few of her descendants were able to master all seven of the classes, often only managing three. Very few beyond her could call on the world-altering powers of the Heavenly spells.
Heavenly Spell List: Executioner's Lullaby, Spheric Melody, God's Judgement, Seven Trumpets, Man's Reckoning
Spheric Melody ensnares the target person, persons, or area, between two clockfaces - one standard, one heavily altered with extra numbers and hands. They ensnare the target within an hourglass-shaped wall, bending and distorting the target as necessary. The clocks slide towards each other, and reduce the target to sand and dust upon their meeting. A shockwave also levels much of the surrounding area.
Executioner's Lullaby sends feathers from the caster's wings to embed themselves into the target person, persons, or object. The feathers explode, setting off a chain reaction that could easily destroy a large island, carrying the explosion from the feathers to the person to the ground he stands upon until the raw power is exhausted.
Immortal Spells List: Carrion, ....
Carrion calls threads from the hands of the caster into the target, which embed themselves inside the target. The threads pull the life force from the target, causing it to age and decay within minutes.
Demonic Spell List: Frozen Fire, ...
Flames surround the target, which must be sentient, and freeze from fire into ice. Many times, death from suffocation, incineration, hypothermia, and frostbite can occur. Anything that survives that is rendered mute. Permanantly.
Gehenian scribes have faith that one day, they may find the remnants of the Appendix. However, since the Second Gate was destroyed with the Eighth, it is unlikely this will happen anytime soon.
