Ruth's life used to be normal, simple, and very calm. She lived as a recluse for many years, and absolutely refuses to talk about her past with anyone. There are rumors that she may be descended of the bondmates of kings, though there is no way of knowing for certain.

She affiliates herself with druids and their ways, caring for trees and wildlife far more than people, though she cares for people even more than for the undead. Because they drip with the unnatural, Ruth finds it absolutely impossible to abide anything of the undead variety, and she will gladly return it to its grave.

She lives very much in the present, and whatever problems are behind her, she leaves behind her. Whatever troubles are ahead, she leaves ahead. She lives in and thrives for the current moment.
