Zombies are easily recognized by their stupefied gaze and the stages of decay that have already begun in the body. The decay can be anything as subtle as a slight mottling of skin to missing limbs. They clambor out of their graves and can tolerate any amount of sunlight, holiness, profanity, and the like. They are always called forth by a necromancer or similar spellcaster, and so it can stand to reason that there may be legion undead standing guard to a lich's manor.
They feed on brains, any brains at all, and will often seek these out, well, mindlessly.
Strengths: Zombies are very strong. They have no elemental weaknesses. They may remain outside regardless of the conditions. They have no sensory nerves remaining, as those are sacrificed when the spells call them up from the grave, so they feel no pain, no matter how much of them you hack up. They fight with a brutal, stupefied singlemindedness, and they don't know well enough to be afraid of things.
Weaknesses: Zombies are very slow. In the amount of time it takes a zombie to walk a block, a normal person can run about four. They have very little tactical skills, having very little of their brains remaining.
Means of Destruction: Decapitation and fire are the only ways to kill a zombie.
Other Notes: Once a zombie has been killed, it cannot rise again. In theory, eventually the necromancers will start to run out of corpses. Also, they stink to high heavens.
